Culturon's immunodiagnostics revolution

Are you struggling to attach your precious antigen to polystyrene plates? Or an outrageously expensive antibody?

Culturon is now entering the immunodiagnostics space to make life easier and ELISA development simpler.

The nanometers-thin coating at the base of ELISA plates rapidly and covalently binds biomolecules.

No other chemistry is needed!

Just pipette on your antigen or capture antibody, leave it for 1-3 hours (say over lunch!), wash off the unbound molecules, block and boom....new ELISA ready to go.

The Culturon advantages

1. Washing!

Culturon plates allow very simple covalent attachment of your precious antigens or antibodies. Covalent attachment involves electrons being shared between the material and the biomolecule. In practical terms, covalent attachment really strong binding that cannot be disrupted by stringent detergent washes.

Many of you will have experienced antigens or antibodies washing off during your ELISA leaving some wells with little to no signal and sometimes the whole experiment needs repeating (it's always the control wells that wash off!).

Feel more confident about robust washes during the different steps in ELISA with covalent attachment.

2. Orient your antigen or capture antigen

This does't work for every biomolecule but if there are differences in charge between one end of your molecule and the other, we can attempt to orient the molecule such that an important antigenic domain is presented, or your F(Ab) domains are facing into the well instead of being ruined by binding onto the plastic or somewhere less accessible.

This doesn't work for every molecule. It is dependent upon charge which may vary from molecule to molecule. But if this is something you're interested in, let us and know and we can help assess this for you.
